stickers
Mary Jane loves stickers! She puts them everywhere. Here are some pictures of her with a bunch of leftover Easter egg stickers that she found. She was being extra cute because she would put them on my arm or Greg's arm and when she would pull them off she would say, "Oh sorry Daddy," and give a kiss. I guess because it pulled the hair a little.

Biking to Work
I decided that I wanted to start riding my bike to work. First I ride to the train station, about 2 miles, then I board the commuter train to go down to the valley, then I will ride from the SLC station up to the University, another 4 miles. Of course, these are some big aspirations, the hill up is daunting. I only made it to 600 east from 600 west and had to get on Trax to go the rest of the way to work. Twelve blocks isn't too bad. Maybe I will do better tomorrow.
Safety first, with my sweet purple helmet.
I would post more pics, but its hard to take pictures and ride at the same time. Its been awhile since I have even ridden a bike, I'm still remembering how to do it.

cross-stitch progress
Here is my progress from May 5th to now - I know that it doesn't look like much, but I have finished with six different colors, yellow(underdress, sash), light yellow(in the flowers), dark grey green(obi, leaves), light sky blue(in the hair), dark grey(also in the hair), and grey(shading on collar and sleeves, sash, and shading on the bird). Right now I am working on light grey. It's like playing find the differences!

bathroom remodel continued...
We worked hard on the bathroom this weekend! We worked on the tile in the bathtub, we thought it would be hard, but as we got into it, it wasn't too bad.

old hobby, renewed!
I used to craft a lot, back before graduate school and Mary Jane. I have decided to take it up again, specifically cross-stitching. I have been working on one particular cross stitch since 2000. I would work on it vigorously for awhile and then put it away for many months at a time. Since I don't have homework during the summer, I am setting a new goal: to finish the cross-stitch. Below is a picture of where I am at as of today, I have a long way to go. Just to give you an idea of size, 15 ins wide by 20 ins tall.

I like to work with one color until it is totally finished. I am currently working on the yellow color. This morning on the train in to work, I found a mistake and now must undo a section. The bottom left corner yellow stitching is off, its one row too low. Here is a close up while I am taking out the stitches.
